I've only been with Huntington for most a year and a half. I had heard some horror stories from people I know, but I also knew someone who was a branch manager at Huntington (a adept friend who has since left and went to Fifth Third) that constantly talked about their new and innovative features similar early on pay and 24-60 minutes Grace. Then I gave them a run a risk. And my friend was right, those features are very nice and very convenient. Which makes Huntington seem like a legitimate major Bank, at least they did at first. I won't get into all of the ways they try to mail you on fees and our stingy on literally every dominion when it comes to them making a buck and you getting screwed. I take banked with 5th Third and PNC in the past and both e'er went out of their way to make something right for the customer. Because that'south their

About a calendar month ago I had a major paycheck come in with huge commission dollars. Ane day later on the check was direct deposited I wake up to notifications on my phone and in my email and I log in to the app to come across close to twenty fraudulent charges with what appears to be Chinese websites that do non exist when you lot await them up. And every accuse was between 250 and $350. Needless to say my bank business relationship was at zero. I opened the fraud merits and the lady was very nice and worked with me and submitted it and I sat patiently with no money in my bank account and waited for the provisional credit to come up in within ten days.

On day ix I got a letter of the alphabet in the mail from Huntington stating that the fraud investigation team found inconsistencies that pb them to believe all of the charges are legitimate. And that's it. Almost $v,000 gone on 17 charges from five different websites from Cathay (again I'grand guessing from the look of them), and they spent five or six days looking into it, never asked me whatsoever questions, and said there are inconsistencies so the claim is denied deplorable client. No explanation, no telephone call, no questions

Then I called the fraud department and tried to get more than information. I had to talk to three people, got hung up on twice, sitting on hold and it took hours to finally get someone to pull the investigations file up. Even their file had no caption whatsoever, but it did point out that the customer, me, claimed that our card was stolen only they could tell that it was not because we tried to utilize it again later the fraudulent accuse. That inconsistency Lead them to believe I was lying in my merits and it was an instant denial. The problem at that place is that I never claimed annihilation about the motorcar beingness stolen. It was really still in my wallet ten days later. I had to explain this to three different people and finally got a supervisor that apologized to me and said I volition reopen the case for you we're and so sorry.

At this indicate I'm thinking maybe Huntington is not that bad mayhap they are similar the other big banks. Notwithstanding, ii business days later I call dorsum and I'one thousand told that the investigation team closed it again immediately later on one mean solar day. Apparently my wife had responded Yes to a text message on her phone considering she didn't know if I had made a purchase online... And that 1 response validates all 16 other charges adding upwardly to $4,600. The woman explained to me that approval one transaction approves all transactions from the same merchant. I said okay that adds up to four of the 17 charges. At that place were five different merchants! No explanation whatsoever, merely when I pressed and started getting upset she said the investigation team assumes that all 5 of the merchants were related and therefore my wife's response validates all 17 charges.

I don't know what to do, I have pulled both of our direct deposits out, I have a negative balance that is racking up more charges every solar day and I can't observe anyone to talk to that volition be semi-reasonable about this. I'm out $5,000 because Huntingdon doesn't want to have my back and fifty-fifty contact or question the merchant? Or should I say the 5 unlike merchants? Does anyone else have experience with this with any Bank.. Can I hire an attorney? I am washed with Huntington I have tried several avenues to get someone to aid me and just have a reasonable conversation. And when I bring upwards the absurdity of what they're saying they get upset and they put me on hold or just hang up. I am going to make information technology my mission to stop whoever I can from cyberbanking with Huntington and then it doesn't happen to anyone else.

I started my bank business relationship when it was Chemic bank. Then it switched to TCF, then Huntington. I never had whatever problems until Huntington took over. They overdrafted my account several times trying, then retrying, and retrying, to take payment for an order I cancelled and NEVER received. They stole a lot of money from me doing that!!!! I put overdraft protection on afterward that. So after all their ridiculous fees to withdrawal my own money, I ended upwards negative 88 cents. They sent me an email weekly wanting their 88 cents, but didn't once tell me it would cause my account to close. And so the IRS shows my tax return has been deposited in to my Huntington business relationship, simply Huntington shows they closed my account. No inkling where my money is. This bank is a huge thief. Stay away!!!!

Horrible! Since Huntington Bank took over TCF they take done nothing merely fumble small task. Chore as small as failure sending notifications to the online website, app, electronic mail, phone call, text, or post. Failure to accommodate customers for the mistakes made by the bank system, & or personnel. Failure to have clear & transparent policy. As I wait for another bank I want everyone to know that this is been a horrible experience with a bank and they should save themselves the inconvenience by going elsewhere with their money.

Help me to understand Huntington... A business organisation account got hacked and you say this on your site Dispute a Charge. "What?! You didn't make that purchase. We're hither to help. Call us with the engagement of the charge and its dollar corporeality. Speed upward the process by having the appropriate dispute class fix." Called the number provided by their website with my mother to assistance her with her hacked accounts and they tin can't freeze your account on weekends or holidays? This is the 3rd time someone has hacked into her account and they said they could not practise anything to forestall the hacker from stealing all of the funds from her linked accounts because it is a business account. We could not shut annihilation down online like the customer service rep said we could, could not transfer funds to go along them safe, and was told we would have to deal with this on Tuesday.

In the meantime, the hacker is eating pizza in Florida and having a good time on my mother's accounts. We accept been banking with them for years but will exist moving funds to another more business-friendly bank that will aid you lot on weekends and evenings. Business organisation professionals beware Huntington won't help you if you lot have issues with your business account until weekdays! Earth to Huntington, not all businesses operate simply during the week!!!

If I could requite no stars I would. Huntington Bank is past far the worst bank open. They have no automated arrangement to conduct business, their concur times are ridiculous, they freeze and put holds on your account for no reason. They give y'all the runaround with mixed communication, imitation information and seems that preparation or care for the customer is not existing. The worse thing TCF bank did was turn to Huntington bank. My account has now been under review for going on more than two months. I have submitted multiple times the same documentation, been to the branch over seven times to the point the co-operative staff says they don't understand what corporate is doing. After filing consumer complaints and reaching out to Attorney general I finally got some answers but non my money and withal going through the same shameful horrible customer service nightmare. They need to be investigated honestly by the authorities.

Become anywhere else. Huntington is horrible, disorganized, and makes promises they never intend of fulfilling. I deposited a large lump sum of money with them wanting to take advantage of a new promotion for new customers. I never got the promotion subsequently four months and when I chosen their customer service line; the rep was confused because she said all of the criteria was met and she requested a letter of the alphabet be sent out to me to signal why I never received my coin. I never even received a letter of the alphabet, permit alone the bonus I was entitled to. My money earned me a whole $iv.37 in four months. Screw you lot Huntington. I happily transferred every fricken cent dorsum to Chase.

Huntington Bank has messed upwardly consistently since they bought out our old depository financial institution. They locked our debit card because of a big purchase that we Told them about a calendar week earlier-to Allow information technology to go through! Now I had to telephone call three times to get through while my husband was waiting in the grocery store where his bill of fare was wrongly declined. We are seniors and had requested the Free checks that this bank offers. They sent the checks finally, three months later, and charged u.s.a. near $xviii for them! That's not Free! I had to call them to get that corrected too.

I won't even get into item every bit to the numerous mistakes this depository financial institution made when start transferring our accounts and that they put a lock on everyone's bank accounts to transition. We've been through this transition with other banks several times who did NOT lock people out from their accounts to do their process. I had to become into the bank to right the issues at that time and was told by the manager that they did non accept privy to our new accounts every bit of nonetheless. What?! The managing director of the bank couldn't even help usa?! Terrible service and then far...Nosotros are NOT happy customers in the least.

I've been banking with TCF over a decade, they were bought out by Huntington. Accounts were not transferred automatically, canceled debit/credit cards with years of validity (2025 for my carte), when I called about the issue their client service representative suggested other banks would be pleased to take me. She was being passive aggressive on purpose, apparently having not checked that my account is indeed quite large and other banks really will be very pleased to have me on lath. They have no fashion for me to activate the new card they issued while I'g overseas. They would not provide the menu service agreement so I cannot check if they are in breach of contract, though I call up the chances are about 50:fifty.

Losing an expected line of credit while overseas tin result in substantial amercement that they probably should (but might not technically... you lot know how one sided EULA/banking/phone service type agreements are) exist liable for. It did not in my case as I practice bank other places also, simply this is just absurd. The new debit card they issued cannot exist activated without signing up for their online cyberbanking. Like many US banks they have no back up for international phone numbers, leaving no way to transition my online account from TCF to their organization (should never have required customer interaction for this in the first place) because that phone number was unfortunately immune to expire.

When I am back in the US in two-4 weeks I volition be closing my business relationship with them. And to top it all off, their customer service wait time right is ~30-40 minutes... how much fourth dimension practice they think people take? They think their customers work for the depository financial institution? Oh, and they reverted my notifications to snail mail just because I didn't jump to transition my account for them. I guess I think differently than Huntington, because if I just bought a bank, I wouldn't exist trying my hardest to lose all its customers.

They purchased my loan from another banking concern, and so reported me to the credit bureau for nonpayment without even a telephone phone call to rectify the situation. By the the fourth dimension I was able to contact them to arrange for automatic payments, my credit score was wrecked.
